Thread Starter
I currently have a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 and needing an upgrade. The current mouse is rated at 1000dpi 3 years old and goes through batteries like crazy - since its wireless.
I am looking to upgrade to a "gaming" style mouse esp for FPS games. I am comparing these two mice in terms of specs and price. There are more reviews of the G500 most are positive some negative with most reviews in general. The couple reviews I have read about the M60 have been great as well. I have used the Logitech MX518 at my old job as a graphic engineer - didn't get a feel for it in game-play. I like the ergonomics of both the G500 and the M60.

I just wanted to get some feedback since I am looking at buying one in a week or so - both are around the same price.

G400 is better than both of these mice. It is an upgrades mx518 with 1000hz polling and up to 3200 dpi.
if you don't want prediction get a deathadder or wait for some new mice coming out (kinzu v2,kana,zowie am.)

i personally would go with g400 (which is just a bit smaller than the ones you have listed and lower profile i think)..im bias since i own one...but it seemed to be better for my grip style (half palm half fingertip) and my medium hand size likes the shape better than mices that have a huge bump on palm area ..also, its optical...which i believe means its better on cloth surface compared to laser in terms of tracking. lastly, i believe the senor on the g400 is placed in the center of the mouse -unlike the g500 that is places on the corner/side area...which can cause some accuracy issues.

There isn't many reviews on the Corsair M60...so hard to say how all these compare...but to each his own...if possible go to a store that has these mice and give it a good grip...

but don't put too much into my comments..since i haven't played around with all of them..and like i said, im bias.
