I have had this idea for quit some time. I eventually want to do it, when I have the money and time. Take some thin sheet metal (the thinner the less insulation = lower temps) make a custom case out of it, fill it with mineral oil and put it inside of a freezer. Why not just put it in the freezer with out mineral oil? Condensation will kill the hardware. Mineral oil has a freezing point of -22F or -30c. Would this work? Will other parts be to cold? I would guess the hard drive, because of moving parts, I could put them out side of the freezer, or maybe SSD will work well in a freezer.
