Problem with Intel core i5 2500k, freezing and Bluescreen - Page 2

Try enabling: CPU Spread spectrum, C1E, Intel Speedstep. See if its still happening after that. Also dont forget with manual voltage it keeps it at 1.29v, it wont lower as far as I know.

I have the same board and chip and I have no problem getting up to 5.1 and 5.2Ghz. Here are my settings. You can try them and simply lower the multi to your desired OC and then test.

BCLK-100
Int. PLL Overvolt.- auto
DDR3-1866
EPU power saving mode-disabled
EIST- enabled
LLC- ultra
VRM- auto
phase control- extreme
duty control- T. Probe
CPU capability- 100%
CPU voltage- negative offset
offset- 0.01
DRAM- 1.51625
VCCIO-1.09375
PCH- Auto
CPU Ratio- 52
Intel adapt. thermal monitor- enabled
Limit CPUID Max- disabled
Intel virtual technology-disabled
PLL voltage 1.75

I don't know how much voltage your ram requires though. You should keep the voltage and speed at spec right now.

Papaace random freezes can be down to the way the power saving features are set. On my guide theres a link to Munaim's guide on idle/random 124 bsod, check it out!

If you want to get rid of x0124 blue screens with sandy bridge, you need to raise vcore

Raising VCCIO is only for very high overclocks, and overclocked ram

Disabling c states only affects certain motherboards, and only in idle mode.

PLL voltage also doesnt affect stability, except MAYBE at very high overclocks.

Just raise you vcore to 1.35. Its perfectly safe. If you are stable with that setting after a couple of days, You could try to raise overclock.

i'm not getting bluescreens.
I'm getting freezes. That is the thing that sucks, cause with a bluescreen there would be a code but with t his freeze of death i cant do nothing

could it be a problem with the ram?
sb said that the MB is making problems with my teamgroup elite 4x4 gb ram
he said i should try with only 8 gb

I don't know that the problem is RAM related, but the extra sticks do increase stress on the controller and can complicate things, especially if you are troubleshooting. It wouldn't be a bad idea to run memtest and see if anything surfaces and then try running with only 2 dimms installed.
