Hi all,

I wanted to open this thread to show up my first build. I want to ask question at the same time and share some experience while building it. I'm now at 80% of my small mod I will post picture and the hardware that are used in this build. Every comment is acceptable ( First time writing a thread at same time be nice

Thanks for the reply boost, didn't tough that dye could work, will see how thing turn out in longtherme with premix. It was a big consern because I was looking for a blue color for tubes only premix could give. In the end I told my self why no try it to see if it is as bad as people say. In the end if many brand are selling those they might be good too or else they wouldn't be selling them:).

Regarding the above comment about tubing and fluid, I would also recommend Primochill tubing. Do note that blue and red pre-mix seems to have more issues than some other colors, but the problems are not guaranteed. For your first build, I would highly recommend using distilled or DI water for your first fill. Once you are comfortable with the process, feel free to drain and put in the pre-mix. Based on the items specified and experience in my own system, 700ml is the bare minimum to run that loop. That will only fill your res part way. You will want 1L or more.

TLDR - Start with a gallon of distilled and measure how much pre-mix you'll actually need

i think mayhem die is the best looking stuff you can get, premixed or not. and its the only one i would consider using because its thought to be the least likely to separate and mess up your system.

good advice

Thanks for the advice but I already filled up my loop with the premix soltuion and had to drain it twice. The only problem that I have now is that when the water gets hot the reservoir leak between the plastic tube and silver caps so until that I receive any news from frozenq I'm keeping it to bare min in the reservoir. Could I have any problem with having less water then requiered in the reservoir?

Here are some cut did for the motherboard tray for cable management. Electric tape was put to protect any finger or wire cut from the metal.450

realise after that I was Missing a hole for front audio and usb and maybe when sleeving done passing pcie plug trough this one. You can see at the same time that I put a quick disconnect for draining the loop.450

I did. I've temporarily scaled it back to 4.5 for the time being.

there will be no problem with having a less-than-full reservoir. no problem at all.

maybe you could pick up some plumbers tape, and tape up the threads on your reservoir. its best to have your loop airtight so water doesnt evaporate over time.

good luck getting it sorted out.

I have random stability issues in general, even at stock clocks. I just haven't spent the time to troubleshoot it. At 5ghz, my max core temp was around 73c under full load, while on 1.464v. Under "normal load" (not exactly idle), it was in the mid 40s.

Here are some work done for passing down my radiator tube to my cpu. At first the hole wasn't big enough but still the fitting was tight I had a leak on my first leak test. Had to make the hole bigger and add 1 more ring to it

450

This is what I used to drill the hole in the aluminium for those that want to know

450

Here are the fitting used for my radiator to get to the hole I had no choice of doign that since my hole would have been in th pcie space and wouldn't fit if I'll be going sli in the future.
Fitting used:
2 x G1/4" 90 Degree IG 1/4" Adapter Extender
1 x 8mm Spacer Extender Adapter
1x Dual VID Connector, Adjustable 1 Slot Spacing
1 x 3-way Splitter, T Block Crossconnect Adapter
1 x Coolant Temperature Sensor Stop

For the SATA/SAS hot swap front bay I had to make some minor change to them. The default 80mm fan that came with them was so noisy that I switch them with 1 80mm noctua, After receiving the noctua fan I realized that they were too big for the back plastic cap. I had to cut out a piece so that the fan could stick out a bit and keep the cap at the same time and i had to strip the cable to be able to fit the original connector that is a mini 3 pin connector. I looked on the net but never found the name of this one.

Picture of bay without back plastic cap

Finale product (If you look carefully you can see that the cut aren't perfect since cutting plastic with a metal dremel makes the plastic to melt LOL )

Here is a sample of the looking, many thing missing.
1- Better quality picture
rolleyes.gif

2- Waiting for the replacement of the defective reservoir
3- White cathode on the top of cpu.
4- Change the noisy 120mm top fan.
5- Mabe putting two 80mm fan for the back dont know really what I can do there
6- Dye the 2 80mm fan for the front bay (still don't know what to use without hurting them)
7- Placing a white plexiglass on the bottom that glow and cut a bit of heat that will go up at the same time.
8- Replace the red cable for at least black (since this build is mostly blue/white/silver theme.

Side pannel 80% done !
