[Softpedia] G.Skill Outs 64GB DDR3 2400MHz Quad-Channel Memory Kit for LGA 2011 CPUs - Page 8

I was hoping to see some CL7 or 8, 1.25v or 1.35 DDR3 2400 Quad Channel 64GB kit, I guess it's not gonna happen anytime soon.

For some reason x79 likes speed better than timings so companies are focusing on that

5.7ghz 6 core processor 64gb 2400 ram and any graphics cards you could want... think the 2011 platform is gonna reign for a while to come, specially since the only thing thats gonna give the 3960x any competition is going to be IB-E

And it makes even less sense why ur part of a forum that promotes excess if u believe that. When I die I'm dead. Not like there's anything to be waiting for. There's only one life. Might as well enjoy it. My morals are stipulated by my profession. I guarantee I give more than you. Did you clothe 2,000 children last winter and 600 this winter so far like I did? Did u give 15% of ur income to charity? Doubt it. Don't preach morals to me. U can't give unless you have. What u may consider excess pays for people to live. It drives our economy. My "toys" allow ppl to take home a living that is much higher than the average pay for the work they do. I honestly don't care about $. I was happy when I was poor. It just allows for more fun more often. Those that preach never act. I will enjoy all that I have and those around me will as well.

Werd. If you earned the money, you should spend it however you see fit. I'll be damned if I earned a fortune and someone told me how I should or shouldn't spend it.

Keep living the lie. When you die, I'm sure you'll be reunited with your cars and race horses.
PS. The best part of all this is that you think you're in control and that you made a life for yourself, when in reality, you're taking it in the bum from the capitalist pig society that's made and trained you. thumb.gif

Who gives a rats bum how much money he has or what he spends his hard earned money on, why should you care? I think your in the wrong community to be jealous, there's plenty of expensive rigs around here. If an individual has plenty of income and spends it on their hobby that's their business not yours. And in fairness most people would spend more on their rigs if they could, it's the same with cars, houses or their family.

Truth is you need people out there to buy into the extreme, so most mere mortals can see 1st hand what all this money and hardware lives upto so we don't have to.

I know some guys that would love this amount of RAM, the speed is just icing. I talked to an engineer yesterday that needed 42GB of RAM just to open a CAD model. I can't imagine what he needs to run NASTRAN or ANSYS if he were to translate that whole model.

Let's make a RAMdrive, put the whole OS on it, and bench it.
