Great OC, 5.2Ghz. I thought I would share my settings. i5-2500k and Asus P8Z68-V

I think I have a super chip! And the board certainly helps too... So I'm able to run 5.1Ghz stable, and I hit 5.2 for ten minutes of stab testing, but I pulled the plug when the temps hit 78C. This is what I decided my max temp would be, which means I possibly could go higher with better cooling! I may try re-seating the cooler. Anyways I wanted to share my settings with the rest. Maybe you will have similar success...

BCLK-100
Int. PLL Overvolt.- auto
DDR3-1866
EPU power saving mode-disabled
EIST- enabled
LLC- ultra
VRM- auto
phase control- extreme
duty control- T. Probe
CPU capability- 100% (anyone know what this does?)
CPU voltage- negative offset
offset- 0.01
DRAM- 1.51625
VCCIO-1.09375
PCH- Auto
CPU Ratio- 52
Intel adapt. thermal monitor- enabled
Limit CPUID Max- disabled
Intel virtual technology-disabled

I forgot to write it down, but I'm pretty sure my PLL voltage was at 1.75.

I wanna see how high it can go, and then I'll probably decide on 24/7 settings and leave it alone. I don't claim to be a super guru here because I'm not, but hopefully this will help someone. If you have any feedback about the settings I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

No, more like 3 hr stable. I've never had a fail after 90 min before and I don't like beating on the chip for half days at a time. At load my vcore is at 1.40. At idle it's at 1.00.

Are y'all leaving on throttling options btw? I haven't looked into it for ages, but I was always told to disable all of it. Have things changed?

You mean the EIST and C1E? Supposedly they can negatively effect a high OC, but I still want mine on. So yes, I leave it on. Although for a quick bench it may be for your advantage to shut it off...

Yes anything that down clocks or lowers voltages.

Leaving them on is fine too, CPU throttles at 98c, no need to be running it anywhere near that. Running offset voltage is just fine. Nice OC.

Yes, Nice OC! So leaving those settings on are fine? Is it once you load a program it defaults back to OC? Sorry for hi-jacking your thread just new info for me.

Oh, is it that feature you are referring to? There is no reason to shut that off. In all reality you will probably never reach that high, but if you do that is something that should be left on. By the way, does anyone know of a warning alarm that you can set on this board for a certain temperature or maybe even software in windows that will throttle if a certain temp is reached (less than 98C I mean)?
