i5 2500K OC 4.5GHz @ Stock - Page 2

Like someone else said, I'll bet your CPU current capability is limiting you. You'll be going over 100% of TDP. Bump it to 130 or 140%.

Basically the amount of power the cpu has available...generally when overclocking you want to set it to 130% or 140% cpu current capability. Just means that the cpu has more power available and thus can achieve a higher overclock.

OP If you follow that guide that was posted, the 2500k/2600k tips one, use those settings in that and hopefully all you will need to do is add more vcore at some point when either your prime95 fails or you get a bsod smile.gif

Thanks,

I have vCore set to +0.200mv at the moment, will be running prime soon.

Hopefully might achieve a stable 5GHz OC.

Prime was running - Hit a BSOD

So upping vCore atm.

Now at +0.210mV

Celisuis if you keep getting problems might be a good idea to use manual voltage for now until you find your stable cpu vcore amount, then use offset afterwards.
