Awesome, Yeah I would have got the Extreme4 over the Extreme3 but couldn't bring myself to as the extra USB and Sata 6gbs ports I really didn't need. That's the only real difference between them. Good move on a Z68 though over the aforementioned P67's.

SLI 560 Ti's is monsterous but I don't think it's worth the money. Honestly, I think I'd actually grab that $400 MSI GTX 580 Lightning. You have nothing to worry about as it's warranty is serial based.

Crossfire 6950 2GB Sapphires for $480 combined after MIR would be amazing though.

Tahiti should be coming out in Q1 2012, unveiling in the early January. If you don't mind waiting, it may be worth it to wait a bit rather than splurging $300 for what will very soon be previous generation card.

I know you can wait forever with technology, but it may be worth it this time since it's actually a new architecture instead of re-branding/minor improvements.

THEY USED to own ASrock

Asustek sold ASrock to Pegatron in 2007. Pegatron has been COMPLETELY independent of ASUS since this year. And really running as a subsidiary of larger Pegatron unlimited since 2007 when Asus split into 3 divisions.

Frankly I find the quality of ASrock to be BETTER than Asus. I've owned both and I prefer ASrock hands down. Especially for the price.

This.
And I'd wait for a month, prices on 6xxx cards will probably drop when 7xxx comes out, also you might find a better 7xxx card for the 300 bucks you're going to put on a 6950 now.

Ok, While they are independent now, Asus owns 25% of Pegatron. You are right in the sense Asus spun off into 3 companies, ASUSTeK, Pegatron and Unihan in 2008. However ASUSTeK still has a foot in the door of Pegatron & ASRock.

(Doesn't have to be fully modular.)
This is what I am thinking:
Crucial M4 128GB: $208 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148442
Asrock Extreme 4: $150 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157265

Corsair HX650: $120 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139012
Core i5 2500k: $220 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072
G. Skill Ripjaws X 8GB: $30 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428
All this comp needs to do is max games at 1920x1080 resolution for a year or two to come and I'll be happy.
Suggestions please!

I would suggest to go with this gpu
asus gtx570 dcII
its better,
for the mobo,go with asus p8z68v pro.

Yeah I agree the prices are going to fall in a month and youd feel burned paying 300 bucks for a GPU when yo ucould have gotten the same GPu 100 dollars cheaper

Is there a concrete release date on the 7xxx cards yet? Will the i5-2500k integrated graphics be able to play games at 1080p at all while I'm playing the waiting game? My current computer has an Nvidia 6600 GT so...I don't even really have a card to throw in in the meantime.

if you want to max out games at 1080p then ditch the SSD and get a 2nd graphics card.
