^ I would guess...that U2410 might have slightly better colors (more colorful/accurate) and that the 2412 might look slightly smoother (fluid/lower input lag). Both should be good overall...not 100% sure. No idea about the 2209WA.

The U2410 is a wide gamut monitor. That means it'll produce much more vibrant, though often unnaturally vibrant colors, especially when it comes to bright reds and greens. It also has lower contrast and higher input lag. So yes, there will be major visible differences between the two.

OK silly question ... since the u2412m has no 1:1 Pixel matching and no 16:9 mode how does it deal with with 16:9 multimedia content (movies Netfix DVD/BD) displayed from a windows PC. will it behave Like any other typical display and show black bars on the top and bottom or will it still try to distort to fit it?

How does this handle 1920x1080 games? does it have the black bars at the top or bottom, will it try cut the sides off to fill the Vertical or will it distort (stretch the vertical to fit)?

How does it deal games in the non-native aspect ratios like 4:3 or better yet how does it handle older games that run in resolutions like 800x600? I'm assuming since it lacks 1:1 Pixel matching it would stretch and distort to fit and If put the monitor in 4:3 mode it will Letter box the sides?

In games it will stretch to fit by default, but you can apply GPU scaling options instead to try to avoid this. Movies will be shown with black bars as most movie software packages understand the resolution of the monitor and add in black bars.

I have this monitor, before it i had LG 120Hz 24" cant remember the model number. So the different:

Dell U2412 has les color gradient/bending than LG. Of course this is because IPS 8-Bit'ish pannel on Dell. Eyes get tired much les then using LG

LG much better with the motion because of the 120Hz. Less ghosting.

Dell downside is that on motion sometimes i'm getting black ghosting in darker corners.

I really mis the 120 Hz it really helped in FPS and ghosting and most of all input lag.
I bought Dell for photography work calibrated it using Spyder 3 with ColorDisplay Pro software and works grate. But it's not for Pro gaming. you need 120 hz for that, well at least i need it smile.gif

I love my U2412M, hasn't let me down in games, or anything else.
