Then I guess most RAM would be fine

You'd have some nice suggestions now (my fav. still the DDR2 667 G.Skills)

As you said.. prices have gone up. RAM prices have gone up in general. I bought mine on 8/22 for $256, then they got up to around $350, and now they go for $317.

You seem to like OCZ... any reason?

I would definately go for these sticks

I have them, and i got mine up to 996 stable stock volt and timings, and they are harldy even warm to the touch. absolutely amazing RAM and VERY cheap, so you are basically getting 800mhz RAM for 179$

Nope I am a noob and I heard they made good RAM, I'm still learning a lot so yeah... just through word of mouth.
