Good OCing DDR suggestions-

Thread Starter
Yeah. Thinking about going 2GB. Since I got 512MB x 2, and I don't want four sticks, or and odd amount ( obviously)- I gotta go new RAM.

Anywho-

I was gunna go PC4000 since its guarenteed to go 250Mhz, and possibly higher, but most reasonably priced PC4000 is CL3, and along the lines of 3-4-4-8; which can very possibly get with PC3200 with (maybe) the same or lower timings...but higher volts...

So- links to good OCing RAM would be nice, or a suggestion for what would be the "best" to go for.

I want to be able to run 291HTT with the lowest divider possible, and I do *NOT* want to run anything bigger than a 166Mhz Divider (RAM @ 238Mhz if HTT=291 ; but letting me run it at 183Mhz would be a BIG plus...183Mhz if HTT=291 is 262Mhz...)
2 OP pls nerf

I guess I don't need to tell you the HZ is in short supply.
Perhaps some Ballistix DDR500.

Seems the price of DDR has GONE THROUGH THE ROOF

These seem like the only good stuff thats available

At Monarch the only good stuff seem to be on back order with ETS @ end of month.

Simply put, the High End DDR stuff is very rare now and it's probably due to the DDR2 production!

They know they have us by the ball bearings and are out to make a killing

Executive note to marketing...
1. Hammer those OCing brats that still need DDR.
2. Do the same on the DDR2 because we can!

Any idea how long before prices drop ?

I say we go on strike ! NO ONE BUYS ANY DDR OR DDR2 UNTIL PRICES ARE LOWERED !!!

We'll call it the "Memory Strike" !

Yeah; the HZ I find is always 256MB x 2 anyway.

And thanks a lot; but I'm really looking for just 1GB sticks- so I can buy one, then buy one when the next one comes in. My mom throughs a fit when I put too much on her credit card, even though she knows I give her the money for it before the stuff even comes in, and even though I tell her WAY ahead of time.

But, splitting it up she doesn't seem to care. Like when I bought this rig, I had to buy it in 4 batches.
