It's really too early for specific dimensions but they'll probably be about 10" wide and range from approximately 18" x 18" to 24" x 24". Don't bet the farm on any of it though wink.gif

If the merlin is only 10" what about an option to make it wider like the M and T series? sorta like an extended top style system, so if someone wanted to, they could unbolt the door and clip(or screw) on an extra side section (like the backside of the M and T series) so someone could throw in a 240rad and psu. So it's kinda modular in the horizontal. But i suppose it would be pushing into the magnum series a bit to much, just an idea don't flame me redface.gif

No Flames biggrin.gif I don't think we would do that. Too much overlap with the MAGNUM cases and would be too expensive. The MAGNUM cases would end up costing less and be more versatile.

On the other hand, it might be a slick way to get a dual MB case...thinking.gif

If you make one that is 10"x18"x18" with watercooling capability, I am so in line to purchase one and powdercoat it in pink for my wifes rig =D

Anxiously awaiting as I am tempted to even purchase 2 - to use the second one as a replacement to my current htpc case if it provides the kind of versatile HD carrying capabilities that previous model lines have.

Outside of the possibility of it cannibalizing Magnum sales it would fit into your mantra of innovation without having to do extensive retooling of the original product line you are creating. The big question is how much would it cannibalize the Magnum sales?

From my personal perspective if I was looking at the two options I still would have stuck with my MH10 just because I wanted one solid structure for modding vs two. Interesting as always!

Modular features such as an extended top would be good for those who want more radiator space. The issue with SFF cases is that some people want more space and some want less, which makes designing an SFF case hard, because some features have to be left out to accommodate other features. Thus, an extended top will be favorable to those who want to watercool, and those who aircool and don't need radiator space can choose to keep the case at a smaller size. In addition, there are some who need more hard drive space, so perhaps a modular extension to fit hard drives will be good. Some people just use an SSD in their MATX builds so they would not use this extension and get to retain a smaller case size. Making the case more modular in this way I think would appeal to a much wider market segment.
