That "mid tower" sounds more like a full tower... tongue.gif

Well if a TX10 is a full size case, then I guess it's about right wink.gif Did I mention some people are too short to see over my case?

But... that's the same height as the M8 with the 84mm extended top... and somehow deeper...

lol yeah, I think Corsair and Case Labs have slightly different views on what's considered a full tower and what's a mid tower...
Corsair 800D full tower - 24"x24"x9"
CL Merlin "mid tower" - 22"x22"x11"

lol yeah, but M8 is still 4" wider, and this "mid tower" isn't probably the smallest one (if the earlier plans still hold) smile.gif

Looks like a reasonable size for me. Saving up for one of these...

Any chance of making it slightly deeper, say an extra 2in/50mm? With a overwide ATX board like Asus x79 WS (10.5in/270mm wide) and a Supermicro CSE-M35T-1 mobile rack (9.7in/245mm), its a very tight fit as only leaves about 40mm between components for cable routing.

Probably not. the 22" depth (approx) is a manufacturing constraint. Height is more flexible. The tower version will likely be about 4"-6" taller.

Hooray for moving the hard drives to the pedestal, having an option for HPTX, and hinged doors. Will make a perfect home server/NAS/folder case with an EVGA SR-X that can support 10 SATA 6Gb/s out the box! With the extended top, it could have a pretty decent watercooling too (don't need much because won't be overclocking and 1 video card)!

Not a deal breaker for me. I'll just have to be creative with the cabling then. Looking forward to the pics!

Quite serious actually. The thing is an absolute tank.

I just went through this whole thread and boy am I excited. I was about to buy a rather "meh" case to finally get into liquid cooling, but now I have no option but to hold off for this product... Can't wait to see the reveal... eventually smile.gif
