Thanke you. So that means with my curent rig plan (360RAD + 240RAD) i'am better of with a SM8, though i can fit it in the SM5 but it's gonna be tight fit unless i only use 360RAD for CPU& single GPU.. Have to think about it..

Hey guys will the Merlin sm8 fit a e-atx motherboard like the rampage iv extreme. I think it has the same mounts as atx but just a little longer on the right side. Will all the cases that say compatible with XL-ATX fit the rampage iv extreme. I want to use my RIVE with 2 - 360 rads so i am trying to decide which case labs case too choose.

With the extended top and a pedestal would it be easy to fit 2 RX360 rads. I bought the Cosmos 2 but I am really dissappointed with the space inside. I'm struggling to fit my 1 rx360. I want to get rid of the Cosmos and get the sm8 or one of the bigger ones.

Just the basic SM8 should be able to handle that board and your two 360's (depending on the number of 5.25" bays you need), no pedestal required - but you can always add one of course biggrin.gif

Ya I don't really use a lot of 5.25" bays. I maybe just need one. I just want to make sure the extended top on the sm8 could fit the rx360 and then when I get the second one I can put it down in the pedestal. I would rather my case be really tall than wide.

I just can't decide which one to get. So for sure I could fit 2 rx360's and the rampage extreme in the sm8 right?

I wonder if it would be smarter to go with a smh10 or a sth10 instead of the sm8 with the extended top and pedestal.

The SMH10 with the entended top would fit a 360 in the bottom and the top right?

So many choices I can't decide. I really just want a single width tower with the most room for rads. Which case would that be?

I guess I just really want to make sure the merlin sm8 fits the rampage iv extreme. I only want to fit 2 360 rads so I think the sm8 would be a good choice with the extended top and maybe the pedestal later on if I need it.

No problem with the Rampage board. Here is a shot with a Maximus IV which is a very similar size:



The radiator is a GTX 480 in push-pull. The RX480 is only a few mm thicker and will fit fine (we have one here)

I don't see why it wouldn't, the tray is the same as all the 8 slotters, and plenty have put the R4E in M8's and so on. Jim said the only e-atx boards that won't fit are the 2P ones.
