2500k Overclock, CPU not overclocking properly? - Page 3

Well I going to guess it's just not selectable on my motherboard since I can't find any kind of info.

Hopefully I won't have to deal with this board for much longer, getting a new motherboard since I actually planned on using my current one in a new build at some point.

If anyone else has any input it'd be appreciated. For now I guess I'll stick with 3.9GHz I seem to be getting stuck with.

OR I can take the board back to the store I bought it from and get a replacement since it has a three warranty with no questions asked. I cen even swap if for another board if they're within the same price range.

GO to my profile and fill in your 'rig' > edit signature and in the drop down list labelled 'show off stuff in your sig' select your rig that you created. and click save. It should now be viewable.

Does your motherboard not have the option for changing turbo ratio?

Also what options do you get under AI Core Current?

Is your BIOS up to date?

I don't recall ever updating the BIOS. Looking at the site there are two BIOS related downloads but I'm not sure which to get, see them here: http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?CategoryID=1&DetailID=1205&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=1&LanID=0

As for the Turbo Ratio, all there is is this (four things under Turbo Mode):
448

I'll have to go back into BIOS to see what options are under AI Core Current.

i think you power limit needs to be higher, my 2600k at 5ghz settings are: long: 300 short: 350

also dont leave you dram on auto, set it manually to the spec voltage.

So what should be 300 and 350?

And what should I put the dram to?

When I originally got to 4.6 I didn't have to do any of this stuff, I just went from 33 to 46 and it worked. Sadly that doesn't seem to work anymore, everything still goes to 3.9
