what do you have to lose by waiting?

If you do pull the trigger.. make sure you have a DisplayPort output from your vidcard.

Even tho im am pretty darn sure the 750D will remain best in class. If you can wait, go ahead. If you want a peace of mind, seeing reviews on the BenQ...wait if you want. i hate buyer's remorse..and it you totally want to be sure to eliminate it..i guess you can wait. tho it looks like you will have to wait over 1 month for reviews. it's up to you.

That being said...i'd put money down on the 750D remaining best in class. 1 important note however, the BenQ is 24" the 750D is 23" or 27". i'd personally like having a 24" screen over a 23"... but i'd take the Samsung screen quality over the BenQ anyday..so the 1" isn't worth it to me.

Another option could be to buy the 750D from buy.com, which has a 45 day return policy. return if you change your mind when the BenQ comes out. tho i honestly, don't think you will.

if you want a new monitor now, and can't wait over a month for reviews...pick up a 750D, no question.

The 2420T is being priced £100 cheaper then the Samsung 750D. You'd be crazy not to wait and see what reviews are like. Personally I have already sold my BenQ M2700HD ready to preorder a 2420T. The new BenQ panel beats the Sammy for inputs too, 1 x HDMI, 1 x DL DVI, 1 x DP aswell as supporting 3D Vision 2s Lightboost.

How is it? Notice any input lag? Ghosting? General impressions of image quality/etc? Any backlight bleed?

Just plugged it in, I'll report back. As for now I've noticed I can't dual monitor with my 60Hz, it makes the monitor flicker when I for example use the scroll wheel while browsing the web. Might be driver fault, but I don't know.

I guess that kind of makes sense. So if you want multiple monitors you need to match the refresh. What happens if you set the BenQ to 50Hz locked via the GPU settings?

Really interested to hear your thoughts thumb.gif

From a different forum..

---
PRAD.de's Reivew Preview is up (paid).......and the BenQ gets a Very Good Rating, which is their highest rating.

+60hz input lag 7.9ms (good for console gaming)
+120hz input lag 4.9ms
+I've read most of PRAD's reviews and the BenQ seems to have the shortest (fastest) response times
+No light bleeding (PRAD's review samples often have perfect back-lighting....cherry picked?)
+Accurate color in the Standard Preset and good contrast
-Interpolation/scaling features don't work that well
+/-Turning off the AMA over drive feature results in much, much slower response times (why turn it off?)

and no i am NOT making stuff up - don't accuse, if you don't what your talking about. I HAVE a 750D..and its viewing angles for a TN panel are amazing. Better than the BenQ, as far as PRIMARY monitor goes.
Now OF COURSE, anyone that surrounds themselves with 3 TN monitors together will say they have viewing angle issues..because of the huge about of screen space...any TN panel will have some issues with that. They should of went with IPS for surround...but as far as TN monitors goes 750D is top tier. way better than most of the BenQ garbage (due to QA) in the market right now.
if you just google the samsung monitor and viewing angles..you'll see what people have been saying about it.
As far as overall TN gaming monitors go...Samsung 750D is best in class overall (when taking all aspects/features into account). PERIOD.

Sounds like you are trying to convince yourself more then us, any monitor viewed straight ahead will have fine viewing angles, and that is all you really get with the samsung due to the horrid stand.
