Oh, then I guess you can answer this for now. Does the monitor use physical buttons or touch sensors?

funny, i thought the same about you. rolleyes.gif

and yeah, any TN monitor will look fine from straight ahead...most people don't game at 45 degree angles...

btw, its not like the Samsung monitor is glued to the ground..its very light...just turn it left or right if you want...you're making it sound like a bigger deal than it is...

tho, like ive said a few times now - yes, the tilt/swivel stand feature would be nice on the samsung monitor..but not a deal breaker for me..i'd take it over current BenQ screen IQ (not talking about 2420T). if you really need a monitor that can turn in many angles, without moving the stand at all...and you don't game straight ahead...yeah, than cross out the samsung...but that's just my opinion.

Touch smile.gif But you also got physical buttons on that little pad thing that follows with. The buttons on the monitor are touch tho. The interface is okay, but swapping between the list of presets takes time as it loads each preset between. You do however have the 3 buttons on the gaming pad switch thing which you can save presets too. Also guys, when you get the monitor the colors will look weird, that's because it's the gaming preset. Set it to normal and it will look good.

Interested in this monitor. Anyone else got this monitor yet? Any info would be great. How does it stand against other 120hz monitors at this price range?

Hey Ninety. I've got this monitor, it's working out quite well! One thing I've noticed which is quite annoying however is the menus on the monitor. The buttons are very responsive and the menu itself is nice, but swapping between monitor "modes" takes time (Standard/Picture/FPS1/FPS2 etc.). For example, to go from the bottom presets which are the gaming presets to the standard preset you have to go through ALL of the other presets, and it selects and loads each one for a second whenever you skip past one. It's not that big of a problem though, only in the beginning, as you can choose 3 presets to replace the default Gaming Presets on the red controller you attach to the monitor base. At the moment I'm only using the standard preset as I've not gotten time to find the fitting one for Battlefield 3 and the standard preset looks good all over (the gaming presets makes the colors look weird everywhere). 120 hz is very nice though, but it's definitely not needed if you do not use 3D or play FPS games competitively.

Other than that the picture quality looks a bit better than my older cheap 22" BenQ monitor. Other than that the monitor is very well made, and the base it comes with is A LOT bigger and heavier than many of you probably think. It's made of almost solid metal, and moving the monitor up and down/rotating it etc. is very smooth.

As I mentioned earlier, if you got any questions feel free to ask and I'll answer.

Hi,
I do have one question- have you tried 3D with this monitor or won't you be using 3D? And do games look good in the 'normal' mode, not the gaming mode? Or do the colours of games look much better in the game mode?
Thanks!

1. I don't have a nVidia card so I wont be using 3D (I got a 5970).
2. In standard mode the colors looks like on any other good monitor. The gaming modes kind of shift the colors, so it looks very different, I think it's very specific for each game. They have already made presets you can download from their website for TF2, CS 1.6 and Source (these two are already built in) and Need for Speed or something.
