Do any of you guys know if I need to HAVE an SLI setup to get games like Skyrim , BF3 in 120hz? or even then it would not reach 120fps?
I personally like 1 card setups.. but there's nothing yet that triumphs all these newer titles.

It depends on your settings. A 7990 might pull it off but not at ultra settings in bf3. Skyrim would be no problem for a 7990. Other then that crossfire 7970's or the new 680's. It would take (3)580's. http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/XFX-Radeon-HD-7970-3GB-Black-Edition-and-CrossFire-Results/CrossFire-Battlefi

Ahhh I love delivery service here in Korea. Ordered monitor yesterday, shipped out of Seoul and at my house in Busan 22 hours later. I have to say I love the monitor. Still playing with the settings to get them just right but makes a world of difference in a game like BF3!!!

Based on those options, I'm on FPS. How do I change modes?
Oh, wow. You can scroll up. Is instant mode the smoothest?

I have the money but I dunno if I should buy. I really wish I knew someone with a 120hz monitor to find out if theres any significant difference

i have both 120hz and IPS...and I think 120hz is def. worth it for gaming (especially fps games)...even if you get 75 fps. everything is smooth, almost no tearing/blurriness. just get a good quality 120hz with good colors. if u can find a deal...go for it imo. IPS is nice also..but not as good for gaming. Is 120hz a must have? no..but if you got cash..and want to have best game play possible...i say its worth it. SSDs + 120hz are the 2 things i recommend to people now...even 120hz makes your pc/graphic card seems more powerful imo...no 60 fps limit...and yes I can tell a difference...probably up to 80 fps or so (but i really like the reduced ghosting compared to my IPS).

You could try a store with a good return policy like amazon...they sometimes will let you return for free, no restocking/shipping fee...even on monitors.

If you have a fast system 4.0ghz+i5/i7/x79 and running multiple gpu's crossfire/sli 120hz is a must. If your running under 70fps save your money and stick to a 60hz. Under 70fps the differences are very subtle but over 100fps its night and day comparing 60hz to 120hz. Takes gaming to an entirely different level.

kk Quick Technical question here i got the T version not the TX and I hook my xbox360 as well to this monitor will it upscale to 120hz like a reg led TV does or would if possible in theory get and hdmi to display port or dvi to get 120hz even on my xbox? I have read its not truly possible to get 120z over a dvi cable even on regualr TVS but the Tv upsacles to 120hz even though the source is 60HZ
