I have read its not truly possible to get 120z over a dvi cable even on regualr TVS but the Tv upsacles to 120hz even though the source is 60HZ

First off I don't really see a point running an xbox on a 120hz monitor when the xbox maybe runs a max of 30fps. Second the only way the T model receives a 120hz signal is through dvi or display port. Only the TX model runs 120hz through hdmi. Running a hdmi to dvi/dp adapter won't work. This is because only hdmi 1.4 supports 120hz which will be eliminated once you use the adapter. Lastly your tv isn't really 120hz. Its basically 60hz split in two on your tv to act like 120hz but its not near the same. Same goes for a 240hz etc. its just multiplied. Blu-ray is really the only video tech that would take advantage of your monitor but good luck finding one that has a dvi/dp. Your xbox is no where near capable of utilizing a true 120hz monitor. Your better off using a 60hz monitor for it. You will see no difference playing a xbox on your benq. Your T model is best suited for PC gaming only. The TX has the option to run blu-ray3d etc.

Thanks good to know I'm still learning about this new Tech

I just finished chatting with an agent from BenQ online chat support.

Basically what he told me was that the TX models will be shipping out pre-orders (and also available) "around" february 15th; and T models will be "back in stock" around march.

Fairly decent support, though no specific dates given perse as for availability on T models.

Do I need anything additional besides the monitor and my gtx 560 to run it at 120hz? I think there was someone that said something a dual dvi cable is this something that comes with the monitor or do I need to order that also?

Xbox: Actually, there are a very few titles which do 3d on Xbox 360 (none of which I own, meh). Other than that, the BenQ has low input lag which can improve gameplay; but you're 100% right that the Xbox won't take advantage of the 120hz refresh rate.

Taxes: Just buy from a state where BenQ doesn't have an office, and you won't be charged sales tax (at present).

You don't need anything else as long as you got a good vid card and the monitor.the cable is included
