BenQ XL2420T available January 18th - Page 36

So the only problem right now with the XL2420TX is that it came with the Vision 1 glasses instead of the Vision 2? Nothing more obvious defect or something?

Did somebody already confirmed if the old glasses need to be returned to get the new glasses when it arrives? If not, I'll definitely order right now and have 2 glasses later.

I just got a response.i get to keep the vision one glasses and they'll mail me the vision 2 one in six weeks.

Only defect so far is for me..the 3d acts up. I'm still testing further but it seems after a restart on my computer? Or a hl2 crash the glasses don't switch on the 3d mode.only solution is to unplug the monitor and replug and it works again.

Oh ok, that´´s good to know. Hmmm, what could be causing your problem? Do others experience this also or are you the only one who has this monitor right now?

so 120hz + a 60\75hz monitor will work if you just turn off all scaling ... fail, I didnt need to return my dell u2412m kms (no one knew this apparently)

I am using a 17" NEC LCD that supports 75HZ from 2003, but it is pretty slim still about the same thickness of the benq.

edit: borderless windowed mode works flawlessly too, looks like Im going to be streaming when I game soon

Got the same email. However, my emitter doesn't emit. I look at the menu tells me that it thinks I'm connected by "DVI" but I was expecting "DVI-DL" since I'm using the dual-link cable that came with the monitor. The emitter menu is unavailable when scrolling through the monitor menu.

However, I'm able to set the monitor to 120hz. Anyone, when you look under System/Input, does your selection say just "DVI" or "DVI-DL"?

(edit: might be the glasses ... in addition to being the older type, even when attached by USB they don't darken when turned on).

Mine only says DVI. even though it's dual link DVI also running 120Hz.

when you run the setup wizard for 3D and you get to the triangle and circles part, do you see the green light to signify the emitter is on via bottom right side of the monitor?

If you do, AND the glasses when you click the on turns green also... this is what you do:

Quit the setup wizard.

Unplug the monitor power.

Replace it back in.

Do the setup wizard again.

It SHOULD work.

Let me know if that goes for you.

So far for me it seems every time I shutdown my computer and reboot in the morning it occurs.. I'm trying to figure out if its when the monitor goes on standby or something.

how do you check that it is now in 120 Hz? Also, I have been confirmed by the representative that the all of those who have received the V1 3D glasses could keep it and they will ship the V2's out this month. YEAH! and is it only me that can not change the colors in this monitor? the buttons are grey and i cant change anything..........

to check 120hz you can either.. go to your monitor then:

SYSTEM -> Information -> Current Resolution should says RESOLUTION @ 120

or you can right click your desktop -> Properties -> Screen Resolution - > Advanced Settings - >Monitor Tab - > Screen Refresh Rate should say 120 Hz

To be able to change the monitor colors I would recommend first changing your picture mode to "Standard" by:

Monitor Menu - > Picture Advanced -> Picture Mode -> Scroll all the way to the top and select Standard -> Go to Picture and change color temp and gamma etc.

Nope. The emitter light never turns on; I've now tried drivers 270.61, 285.62, and beta 295.51. I also hooked up a BR player via HDMI which has youtube capability, grabbed a side-by-side youtube vid and got no emitter light. (I don't actually own a BluRay disc for my BR player yet, heh, much less a 3d BluRay).

When I turn the glasses on the green light for the glasses turns on, but the monitor doesn't respond, nor do the glasses appear darker or different in any way from when they were off.

Thanks for the confirm on the 'DVI' reading as that rules out the cable; I shouldn't have been able to get 120hz without a DVI-D cable anyway, but I like to eliminate all other causes before hanging on to the telephone on (or after) a three day weekend.
