BenQ XL2420T available January 18th - Page 37

I just noticed in BenQ´s website that they´re offering two XL2420TX varieties now, one with the V1 glasses and one with the V2 glasses. I´m wondering now if I get the one with V1 glasses (discounted $20), will I ever be sent a V2 glass too in six weeks?

have you notice some banding effects like said the rewiews ?
Kevin: No.

Senna: No; once I tuned it up using lagom.nl, starting with sRGB mode and reducing brightness to 10, contrast to 5, sharpness 5, and all the fancy stuff like blackequalizer off or 0, lagom.nl's gradient looks very smooth, blacks visible down to 1, whites to 253 (only the last white checkerboard isn't clear.)

The banding spoken of earlier is something that (from bloody's blog) appears in 3d test images, so I haven't been able to check that. Gammas were in the 1.9/2.0 range in the lagom.nl test, but adjusting gamma down to make the test image right crushes the blacks, so I don't.

Still waiting to finish my pc but currently using this monitor fo xbox360 and all i can say is wow. Colors are so much more vibrant and the gameplay is so much smoother. So many people say you can't see a difference below 60fps but I could immediately. Bf3 on xbox is a different game on this monitor. I came from a Dell 2412h and recently a Asus VS248. How do you guys switch from 60hz to 120hz. Also where do you turn on the darkness enhancer? Haven't been able to find the darkness enhancer in the menu either.

Love this monitor despite that one quirk with 3D smile.gif

(Quirk: Sometimes 3D wouldn't work on the fly and I have to unplug and replug the power back of monitor to get 3D to work. Since I don't 3D often it's not so much of a big deal :X)

I hope they have driver updates to fix these issues?

Does anyone know the SKU for the tx from before they put the second listing for $20 off with the v1 glasses on their site? Mine is still listed as "order preparation" under status and the SKU is the same as the ones with the v1 glasses so I'm hoping they check the order date before they decide I don't get the v2 glasses.

You can't use 120hz on the xbox 360, you need a dual link dvi cable, even if the 360 could support 120hz most games are locked to 60 or 30 fps.
