M5A97- Help?

Hey everyone

Built my rig a month ago with the ASUS M5A97 Motherboard.

I loaded a new bio, verision 0705, up from the factory one which was liek 05XX. ( Not sure if started like that but, it was factory setting)

So the problem is, whenever I unplug the desktop from the power supply or completely turn off the power supply, the motherboard time resets back to 01/01/2008 and I have to manually return back to the BIOS settings to re-config it all, even my AI settings are reset back to default.

I've considered updating the BIOS to 0901.
But I'm not sure if that'd help?

Wondering if anyone out there have any solution to this? Thanks

check that CMOS battery is seated correctly.
Also check vbat voltage with hw monitor, should be 3.0v or better. any less replace battery.(battery type CR2032)
