Msi 7900GT help!

Thread Starter
OK... Ive got the stock overclocked version of the Msi 7900 GT... on the official website the clock is stated as core/mem 500/1530MHz...
Now when i view the clock of my card using coolbits, they are set to core/mem 500/765MHz... I want to know what's the problem, and why is it 765, and not 1530... thats a 50% diffrence!!! Thnx...

It just doubles the speeds, that is why it's called Double Data Rate.

Perfectly fine. 765MZH is what it should read. Just like CPU-Z, it'll never read the RAM at 800mhz, it'll read it at 400mhz..........and so on.

DDR is double data rate mem so 765 x 2 = 1530

So if somebody in the forum's says that they got their memory clocked at 1600Mhz that means that in coolbits they see it as 800Mhz? Thnx...
Ps: Is there a software that can show the "Real" mem. clock? And also, even though it shows 765, during games, bench etc. it actualy works at 1530? And those cards that have mems stock clocked at 700? like some n70's in coolbits they see it as 350MHz? Thnx...

Yes for instance my cards DDR3 clocks at 900 and my GPU at 700 so I would say 700/1800. I have volt modded cards though which makes it easier to OC a bit.

No software that I know of will show true mem
