Pulling the trigger on my first build... final inputs please! - Page 2

I have that video card, its a great overclocker and runs cool and quiet with msi's air cooling solution (i got even better results on water, of course)

The 2500k is the best sandy bridge so far in price to performance ratio but in hindsight i wish i had gone with a 2600k for the hyperthreading. it does cost significantly more but come on! Hyperthreading sounds so cool! wink.gif It's not really needed if you're only gaming though.

Also i would stick with your SSD. It makes your computer feel more snappy and games load much faster than from a hdd thumb.gif

If your ever planning to 3-way crossfire I would recommend the Rosewill Lightning 1000W which i own.

I may drop the cpu cooler down and pick up a GTX 570 instead. I've heard good things about the Hyper 212+.. hmmm

My friend (bloodrory) uses the cooler master hyper 212 plus and got his 2500k to 4.6GHZ so it is very good for the price. thumb.gif

careful, if your still going to use the phantom as a case, then the hyper 212+ wont fit. something about the 200mm fan interfering. i would check the official owners club to see what coolers fit and all. my roommate has this case and its huge. he got the A70 to pair with the 2500K and so far he says its not bad. but im not sure how good the A70 is. i do know that your original noctua D14 will fit, if only by 1 or 2 mms. just ask around the club for some suggestions if your still unsure what will work or not

EDIT: im not recomending the A70, as i have no knowledge of its performance, but i do know it fits and it performs relatively close to the 212+

agreed with this, i have an nzxt phantom, and several exact things in that build.
same mobo and cpu, i have the coolermaster 212+ and it WILL fit, unless you're wanting to put a 200mm side fan on the case, then the 212+ is too tall.
