SB-E yet another should I upgrade? only TWO HOURS left (but my last one, i swear... i need that last push)

The upgrade would be a sabertooth x79 + 3930k.

I do have the $$$.

Would it be a great upgrade? (I'd still keep the old rig, put in a smaller psu, ddrs and a 6970 or so)

I'm sorry to keep bothering, but it's a big step in a country where I pay x2 for every tech.

So come on guys... I have 2 hours to decide. Help me out!!!!!

My uses: gaming, epeen, no bottleneck on my future 7990, that i WILL buy on day 1.
(again, no initerest in ivy or sb, I want the -e plataform and let's leave it at that wink.gif )

If you have the money then why not

But I didnt see video coding/editing in your uses so no, no reason to upgrade for you

Given that you're on the bulldozer - yea you would see a significant bump in both single and multi threaded tasks

I'm not sure to be honest, the BullDozer CPU you have is no slouch (forget the Intel/AMD argument). But if you can afford it and want e-peen you can't do much better than what you have planned. I'd say go for it...
