Bulldozer 8120 or 8150 !!

i will be encoding alot and im not planning on overclocking would i see a big difrence going for the 8150 over the 8120 .... before any one asks or says! .... i have new board ect so going intel is not an option

They are the exact same chip. 8150 is just clocked higher and priced higher. I don't think you would notice a whole lot of difference. The 8120 is the better deal. Also, I would overclock if you want to get the most out of your encoding.

might want to look into 24p see if it relate to your need .lile youtube and vimeo will convert to 24 p so might want to adopt 24p and save .

Yeah, if anything just change the multi so you are at the same freq as the 8150

My stock voltage is 1.325v for my 8120 and I can overclock to 4.4Ghz without changing the voltage. If you go with 4.0GHz at same voltage the temps should stay low and there wont be any stability issues. BD scales fairly well when overclocked.

And yes, go with the 8120. There is no difference that is noticed between the chips. They both overclock to right around 5GHz and and show no considerable difference except the price.
