I've tried the latest release of Boris's ENBSeries patch. It absolutely murdered my framerate. I went from 60 fps to 30 fps outside. This is with the new SSAO feature in the v99 patch. The picture in the OP looks too vibrant for me, Skyrim is supposed to be a rugged, torn landscape that mimics the style and color of Nordic regions. I'd much rather stick with what my game looks like now and a custom FXAA Post Process Injector config.

I'm not really impressed with that icehancer screenshot the colors look too washed out, I like the FXAA Injector mod better

I love the original feel of skyrim. Any mod that messes with that ruins the gameplay for me. It feels like the shivering isles too much.

I agree it can be adjusted as well as just about every other feature in the patch itself.

on a side note:

For AMD cards at the moment, the ENBSeries patches murder framerates. Most Nvidia users are reporting losses of 5-10 fps when using the patch provided by Boris. AMD users are however reporting 20+ fps, for the most part. Boris is developing it on his Nvidia card and therefore cannot optimize it for AMD because he doesn't own one. I really hope someone else looks at his work in the future and produces some fixes for us Red users. I've tried all of the tweaks that Boris himself has said including the "FixGraphics" and "DeviceID & VendorID". I get a 3-4 fps performance boost from them.

Don't get me wrong, I think his patches are amazing. I run iCEnhancer on my GTAIV installation, it's absolutely beautiful. It'll take some time before the performance woes are sorted out in the Skyrim version I think.

A quote from the Icenhancer dev himself:

iCEnhancer
I guess there is a misunderstanding about my Skyrim screenshots :
It was some out of boredom, random ones, just for fun. I never meant to release them. They are not fitting my tastes at all "yet" as I don't really play this game (boring & bugged game -yawns) as the game has an horrible weather system, mixing day & night as the same time. I'll see
.

Funny, he developed the icenhancer on a 8800GT (might have been a 8600GT), so lowering some in-game settings, lowering filter settings in the config file of bloom and what not to say 2 or 3 will give you a good frame rate. You'll probably want to be at a 720p resolution for good frames though.
