$3000 Gateway system, back in ~97. Pentium 200mmx, 32mb ram, 3.2gb hdd. Thing got zapped by lightning a few months later and was not covered under warranty. The bolt came through the phone line which was not on a surge protector. Modem had a white streak on the back of the card, but it survived! Swapped in a new AMD board and a K6-2 300 thumb.gif

To this day, that is the most expensive computer I've ever owned. Even my water cooled sig rig didn't cost me that much!

My ASUS M4N68T-M motherbord. It came with one of the RAM slots bad. I sent it in for an RMA and ASUS didn't even fix it! I have heard a lot of good things about ASUS but my experience with them has not been good.

Corsair H80.......first one came DOA I had to pay return shipping and when i finally got the second one and installed it my cpu temps didn't really change but like 3c load and the same idle.

I was using some sucky 92mm tower air cooler that came with my alienware area-51 back in 2008

When I first built my PC I bought an Apevia 550w PSU because it was see-through.

It served me well for a good 5 minutes.
