Yeah but your current comments don't quite back that up . I do agree in a sarcastic manner... not amd's fault obviously. I really can't believe it got released to soon.. it really seemed like a great time for the patch to come out....holidays and all.

I really hope BD shows some improvements, sounds like the run around to me though.

I haven't experienced a single BSOD. I've documented small gains in games and losses on compression software (winrar).

Also, the patch is 4mb only. Installing and uninstalling is a matter of seconts and a reboot (thanks SSDs).

If anyone missed it: http://www.overclock.net/t/1185039/the-1st-windows-7-scheduler-results-are-in-winrar-bench-in-12-16/130#post_15966557

All the comparisons were made by me. I tried to explain how they were done (except the mw3/bf3, but I take no credit for those results, as explained)

So basically, Microsoft is trolling AMD. Good show.
Will be interesting to see what the supposed 2nd patch is going to bring to the table. Unfortunately, by now I half expect an AMD spokesman to say there's going to be another patch if this one fails to impress, and so on.

There has been some decent gains in performance with just the single premature patch. Here TomsHardware shows up to 14% increase in PCMark7 and 10% increase in science mark.

If we can see these kind of gains with a premature incomplete patch then I am hoping that with the mature complete patch we will see some incredible gains in certain areas. This is great for AMD Bulldozer and Bulldozer owners who are already satisfied with their chip and the few that are not.

This is great news and with BD revisions this patch and fine tuned bios, we are looking at pretty damn good chip here. I am not saying that BD is the best but it is a fairly good chip and is getting better fast as the days go by.

Hmm. Good news indeed. That means that the increase we're seeing as for now (if we can call it that way) might be larger.
