Err.. yes... but.. $3,000:

The TravelMate 8210 is the only model they have that has Core 2 Duo.. anything less drops back to Core Duo. The Dell I configured looks good enough to me.

Also, I find a coupon for the Dell E1705 that worked for me if I enter it in check out... try this: 9M6RNQV6N99$92

Total price, including this coupon, $1,931.00 + free shipping + $117.65 tax = $2,048.65, for which you get:
(start here, pick the most expensive one, and configure it to your liking... the list below are just examples)
  • Inspiron E1705 Intel® Coreâ„¢ 2 Duo processor T7200 (4MB Cache/2.00GHz/667MHz FSB)
  • Operating System Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005
  • LCD Panel 17 inch Wide Screen XGA+ Display
  • Memory 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
  • Video Card 256MB NVIDIA® GeForceâ„¢ Go 7900 GS
  • Hard Drive 120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
  • Network Card Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem
  • Combo or DVD+RW Drive 8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
  • Sound Options Integrated Audio
  • Wireless Networking Cards Hi-Speed Wireless Card Only: Dell Draft N Wireless
  • Primary Battery 53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
  • Warranty and Service 3 Year Limited Warranty plus 3 Year At-Home Service plus Nights and Weekend
Now, there are plenty possible savings/changes:
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T5600 (2MB Cache/1.83GHz/667MHz FSB) - saves $75
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz - saves $185
80GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive adds $100
80 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery adds $99
and if you don't game, dropping the 7900GS saves $300
HP has them. My Aunt works directly for HP, she's sending me a C2D as a graduation gift this week, actually. Just thought I'd point that out. They have them in the business section selection.

Alienware, Dell, HP

One thing you should keep in mind, sometimes they have identical products in the Business section rather than the Home/personal section for a cheaper price. This is especially true as I have found the same product in both sections but the one in the one in the business category was cheaper.
