I'll be powder coating the panels and joints black, hopefully matt black. Then all the frame and brackets (angle, HDD mounts, fan grills etc) will be painted or if I can arrange it through a friend, baked resin smile.gif in the metallic red. The general idea being it is always black to red or red to black .
Just a quick update today, in the process of finding some bits and pieces so I finished the HDD mounts this afternoon.
Stole some screws from an old Thermaltake case I used to have (first water cooled build... memories...) then added some rubber dampers from a maplins DIY kit (it's screws were crap) then milled the indents into the brackets smile.gif

Hey. I have that same 80 gig wd drive. I use mine as a back-up boot in order to fix my computer.

Hello everyone smile.gif

A quick catch up, last we spoke I had a new job, well I have a new new job and its awesome, but I don't have a lot of time at home, so please forgive the lack of updates.

I've been working on the desk off and on for a few months but haven't really put anything good up, as its just been little stuff, but I've finally sacked off everything and had a proper day on it, might not have time to get the photos up this weekend, I'm playing with a new camera so I want the photos to look better than they have in the past but this camera is far to clever for my photographic ability so bear with me.

So I thought I would post a sneaky shot of what I've been up to. Since the last update, I've pretty much finished off all the actual machining, made some plinths for the SSDs to sit on, mounted the aquaero and in theory, all the wiring holes and tubing holes are done, so all I have left Is the wires, sleeving and then to modify the triple screen stand to run up from the back of the desk then its only the paint job. So a little way left to go, but I've got ten days off over Christmas to try and bash out as much as I can.

So... I promised a photo...



Hopefully I can make up for the long silence smile.gif

Looks pretty great so far, hate the slow updates though, but what can you do? A man's gotta work for his money..
