Hey guys,
After HDD prices rocketing and me having some money now, i'm planning to buy a 64gb SSD. What do you think? The crucial m4?

Any place where I can get it cheap? The local dealers have it for $190 which is steep because amazon has got it for about 100 bucks.

Can you guys tell me where I can get it for cheaper or same and ship it to INDIA.

What all other SSD's do you consider?

Thanks!

Crucial M4 for all out fast read speeds, if you want fast writes too then there's the corsair performance pro models. It's only slightly slower on actual reads but not by enough that you'd care.

But for most people read is all they care about, which is why the M4 is the choice for many.

Honestly get what you can afford though.

If you are to get one of the corsair drives get the Force GT or performance pro if you want the top performance...though the price of the Force 3 may be better for you.

Problem drives are those with SandForce controllers, but from recent indications it has all been fixed now with the latest firmware. As far as the Corsair Nova 2 is concerned it's a bit small in capacity for most people and it's quite an old model now.

The Corsair Nova is an Indilinx Barefoot controller... 2 generations old.

Any current or last generation SSD is fine. You won't notice the difference in everyday tasks.
