What do android phone apps one tablet look like?

So I will be picking up an android tablet sometime soon but I am interested in knowing how applications optimized for phones will look like on a honeycomb tablet (like the transformer prime). Will all apps that work for phones run properly? Also, do the apps just get stretched and look horrible on tablets?

Most apps have a honeycomb version which is what youll get from the market. Gingerbread apps if you get them from a different source will either be stretched or sometimes occupy only a little portion of the screen.

I have a few on my Transformer and they look fine to me, but that might just be those particular apps.
