Firefox announced eons ago that they were going to have their updates on a new release schedule like this. Nothing's changing aside from the version number. You're still getting the same bug fixes and updates you were getting before, just on a different release schedule.

So the "Nightly" is the 64-bit edition, right? And this isn't beta anymore, this is the official release, correct? If so, I guess I'll be trying this out shortly. smile.gif

Will Firefox's update number ever reach the number of Final Fantasy games that exist as of now?

Nope, nighty builds are not optimized for x64. Also, the "official" update isn't going to be auto updated / added to Mozilla's download on the official site until the 20th.

FYI this is the best 64 bit Firefox browser I could find. http://waterfoxproj.sourceforge.net/news/23/15/Waterfox-8-0-1-Available/

That is if you don't use add ons. I never use add ons with web browsers anyway. It only slows them down.

Plugins, not add-ons ;) you can still use your add-ons.

No, because rapid updates suit Chrome more than Firefox.
