A message told me not to buy this PSU. (and BSOD help.)

LOL!

Hey Everyone..

So I contemplated for 6 hours whether to buy a fully modular PSU or not..(Newegg had a shell-shocker for 50% off with rebate) and then I finally gave in and told myself I'M GOING TO BUY IT!
at the last 2 minute (11:58-ish).. as I was finalizing my order. RIGHT WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO CLICK "SUBMIT ORDER."

My PC BSOD for the first time....

Now I was too frustrated at the time and I didn't get to read the BSOD message.. but something with "memory?"
When I restarted my computer, and when it was at the

"AMERICA MEGATREND" part (BIOS)

It showed a message "OVERCLOCKING FAILED! PRESS F1 to run SETUP"

So could this be a OCing problem that led to the BSOD and the faulty parts?

My Intel i5-2500k are still are stock settings.. the only thing that I OC'd was the memory. (Corsair Vengeance 8GB, which was 1600ghz, but my MOBO read it as 1333ghz, so I made it to 1600...

What should I do? Wait it out and see if the BSOD occurs again? Or...

So how funny is this incident? and..more importantly.. what's wrong with my PC! frown.gif

since the only thing overclocked is the ram thats where I would look first...thing is though you stated it is 1600mhz ram....check and make sure you have voltage set right for it to run at 1600 and check the timings my guess is probably the voltage smile.gif
