Haf X Watercooling Input

Thread Starter
Hey All

Just looking for some inputs on my expansion of my current watercooling rig

What i have right now is

EK Supreme HF Acrylic (I7 920 @ 3.2Ghz)
Thermochill TA.120.3 (Top mount pulling air out)
Laing DCC 3.1
XSPC Bay reservoir

Loop order is Res - Pump - CPU - Rad - Res

Fan blowing direction
Front - In
Back - Out
Side - In
3 x Top Out

I want to put water on my GTX580 and this is what i had in mind

443

I plan on switching my pump out for the Swiftech MPC35X (pwm controlled)
Remove the harddisk drive bay and add a Phobya 200 Xtreme
put an EK FC-580 on my Gfx.
Swap my bay reservoir out for either an Swiftech MCRES-Micro Rev.2 or an EK - Multioption RES X2 - 150 Advanced (im a bit torn between the two)
and put a Swiftech MCP35X Heat Sink MCP35X-HS below the pump

For the loop order i had figured, Res - Pump - Phobya 200 - GFX - Thermochill TA.120.3 - CPU - Res

For fan i figured id reverse the back to blow air into the case instead, since the front fan would now pull a little hotter air in due to the front radiator.

Also thougth about creating a custom psu cover from acryl, which would be a little longer than the one the case comes with to use as an base for the pump.

anyone with any input ?
i tried fidding around with getting the cpu in the loop befor the gfx, but i think the tubing would be longer due to the front radiator placement.

Thanks

as long as the res feeds the pump directly loop order does not matter.

If you rotate the top rad you could put a 120 on the back exhaust
MY pump is connected to the psu cover tha came with the case.
putting the rear as intake the 3 top fans would suck that backout b4 it has chance to do anything in the case

Chop up your case and put a 360 in front biggrin.gif
700

I have a 360 as an intake on my loop, and I left my 140 on the back as an exhaust. I have two 120mm fans on the side panel as intake, blowing across my GPUs for the air cooled portion (vregs and ram). I think the inside is cooler and quieter now than it was when I had the 200mm in front with an additional 120, and the 200mm side panel fan. I am very happy so far with my setup.
