Whats the best Android Tablet to get for around $100

Hi everyone, I am just getting an entry level android tablet for the wife. I have an ipad 1 and I have no idea or experience with it comes to Android. The Idea would be if she likes it to get later on one of the top end android version for her. Just want to see how she feels plus I am tight on this holidays.

I came across the following units:

A9 7 inch Google Android 2.3 Amlogic 8726 ARM cortex A9 1.2GHz Tablet PC

and

ePad - Android 2.2 Tablet with 7 Inch Touchscreen + WIFI + 3G Capability

Looking for one that can do also Flash if possible. Thanks!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a standard Android Tablet. It has a regular app store so you should be able to install Flash on it.

Does it need to be android? I just got a blackberry playbook and boy is the OS polished. Everything just works without having to do this, do that.

And yeah i have an asus transformer. Also i use 2 android phones.

If you definitely want android wait for the Transformer Prime to come out.

LOL I totally missed the 100 dollar part but really a 100 tablet would just be a waste. Get something better or none at all.

The cheapest i would recommend is a Nook color though youd have to install Honeycomb on it yourself.

I agree with crUk on this but I'd add the Kindle Fire to the good budget tablet list. You can get a Kindle Fire for $189 right now if you pay with a Master Card. Then like crUk said there is the Nook Tablet but just note this version has a dual-core CPU and the old version called the Nook Color has a single-core CPU. I read a review from the Chicago Sun-Times that did a great job of comparing both tablets. The only possible way you could have gotten a decent tablet for $100 is if you got in on the HP TouchPad fire sale, but unless you get one cheap on Craigslist you're unlikely to get one for that price now. Most of the other ~$100 Android tablets are made by off brand companies you've never heard of and are glorified garbage. The biggest problem with the super cheapo tablets is that they skimp in almost every area but most notably the display. The display is probably the most important part of a tablet. They usually have some insanely low resolution like 800x480 and use cheap TN panels. Both the Nook Tablet and Kindle Fire use 1024x600 IPS displays that have much better viewing angles and more vibrant colors compared to cheap TN panels.

+1 for saving bit more cash. Got my mom a Fire through lack of gift ideas. Haven't opened it up. Amazon warranty support is pretty awesome vs no name junk with no support.

If you're stuck at $100, get her $100 worth of sammich making tools.

Idk if you can still get it but the HP Touchpad is a great tablet rooted and flashed to a custom rom. I have one and Ive used Cyanogen Mod 7.1 Alpha 3.5 and XRON B 2.2 and both are very stable. There are some kinks that you can get around but overall i am very happy with it. Plus Idk how high you can go but I know theres a guide to overclock it to 1.9ghz. Its stock at 1.2 but its underclocked by HP from 1.5. All in all it has some great hardware and IMO is just as good or better than the ASUS Transformer (not prime) or the Galaxy tab. Not a huge fan of honeycomb myself tho. Plus Rootswiki is already hard at work for ICS for it (cant wait!). But I have no probs w wifi, picking up wifi from mobile hotspot, video, PS3 controller use, Youtube and netflix video among many others and really no problems. I know last week they were going for 100-150 through a fire sale. You might be lucky and be able to find one. I laugh at $500 and up Tablets. This thing is a beast.
