UPDATE:
Alright, well after adding the dual stereo y-splitter I can say for certain that this setup would never overload your speakers.
The moment I plugged the PS3 audio into the second female stereo plug the volume output from my PC "halves" whether or not the PS3 is on.
This presents its own problem though as i have to then move the speakers volume control to 3/4ths of maximum to get a reasonable amount of volume when using PC sound.
However if I have the PS3 on, the volume for both the PS3 and PC returns to normal, meaning I have to halve the volume control on the speakers much lower.
Not sure if that's bad or not, I'm sure it lowers the quality somewhat since the speakers amp has to work harder to boost the weaker signal though...
Due to not having an actual tv I'm planning to rig up a system to allow both my PS3 & PC to be connected to the same set of speakers and screen.
I just wanted to know if there's any risk in having both the PS3 and PC connected via adapter to the same audio jack. I won't be running both at the same time, but if i accidentally had both on at once I was wondering if it would cause some sort of wicked feedback that would damage the hardware?
Thanks for any input...
