580 is widely regarded as the most powerfull single GPU out today, thought it (most likely) doesn't have long left at the top.

he's right

6950 - 560ti
6970 - 570
580 - (most likely 6990)
590 - nothing

I agree with chrisguitar and passey,
get a 6950 or a 560 ti today, and SLI/Xfire it in the future. wink.gif Although, I might add that the 560 ti is a beast of a card and can handle most 1080p games with decent performance

I could agree with you but if games continue to be as demanding as bf3 I would suggest a GTX 570 or 6950 2GB at the least.

But thats the theory i always use when buying gpu's buy the 1 best 1 you can afford now and you can xfire in future if you need. instead of being stuck.

ahah I am just trolling you wink.gif I was screwing around I'm not some grammar nazi.

it'll say 448 core if it has, Thats currently my GPU, I can run BF3 on ultra, but after a long while, everything starts stuttering, either a ram, cpu or VRAM problem, but yeah.

That's your cpu giving you the stutter not the ram :S

Tip: If your playing bf3 on ultra at 1080p a GTX 570 is MINIMUM for playable FPS.

but if you can compromise like I do even though I have a GTX 570 for "high" settings as apposed to ultra then you will see a dramatic increase in fps.

GerickJohn, put your settings on high with 2xmsaa and tell me if it gives you that stutter.

The 6950 is 27/28cm in length, so it will be an incredibly tight fit and most likely (as I have had this experience with the 370/430 cases) cable management will be a nightmare/non-existent.

I am again going to recommend that you look into a case with a larger interior, as in all honesty, you are pushing a 370 beyond the max with those build components.
