Corsair HX1050 Silver vs XFX PRO1000W Platinum?

So I'm planning to get a new PSU my old one seems to be on it's deathbed

I'm considering one of those PSUs

XFX PRO1000W LTD Black Edition Full Modular 80PLUS Platinum PSU
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0067G6PA0/

or

Corsair Professional Series HX1050 80 Plus Silver Certified 1050-Watt PSU
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00539M4M0/

which do you think has the better performance... I see alot of people go with the corsair one (Well known high quality) , but the XFX offer 80PLUS Platinum (which is quite tempting really)

40$ difference in the price is not important to me

so you decide! biggrin.gif

The older XFX PSU's were notorious for blowing up, but the newer ones have very positive reviews. Also Seasonic is the OEM for all XFX PSUs.

Channel Well Tech. is the OEM for the Corisair VX550, TX750/ 850 & HX1000s. And as far as I know, the OEM for the HX1050 too.

XFX PSUs and the Corsair HX series, both have a 5 year warranty. So your good with both there, and from personal experience XFX is great at warranties and RMA's.

Based on that, I would recommend the XFX one, based solely on the OEM, I would blindly go with Seasonic any day.
