I think I am going to reinstall my Suse 12.1 , Mint 12 and also Pear OS with it and then later on install Arch, this damn display flickering is frustrating , there again my R&D on linux damn I miss those days.

I may have missed one thing after installing SH3 is the 14.b patch biggrin.gif , I have copied all Mint 12 updates from var/cache so I don't need to download 250 MB on a 512 Kbps line , will install those manually.

I am also going to try Ultimate Edition Gamers 3.0 64 bit which is a 3.8 GB download and post results for people trying use linux for windows gaming but this I shall only do it after my system has become OS steady & ready and when time allows.

Hmm on a second thought I think I will skip Suse and put that as a mailing server on my other machine.

I think you know already, but theres a WineHQ entry for SH3 that will help you get it running.

I reinstalled Mint and did not use the ATI catalyst in fact used fglxr, installed wine and then installed SH3 and guess what biggrin.gif:D.

Will be doing FSX / FS9 installation this week.

The best part was I had copied all the updates from /var/cache on to the other HDD and I manually updated the system without a glitch else I would have been sitting for a couple of hours for it to download updates and wine.

The system is smooth now,I just hope I do not go fidgeting around as I don't remember all that much after a few years gap in Linux. Will update FSX/FS9 installation and usage.
