MSI Frozr III Limitations

Thread Starter
i have a msi frozr III 6950. i was wonder how far have u guys pushed this card. as of right now i am at:
Voltage 1.225
Core: 930
Mem: 1425
so far i am totaly stable after hours of crysis 2 with dx 11 high res texture and the graphic mods. i run around an average of say 45ish FPS. also i never go over 50C ever. if i increase clock any higher it crashes in Komb. I have not tryed to increase my voltage what soever past what it is now. Do u guys feel its safe to increase the volt and the core clock as i am still running at a low temp. feel free to give me any ideas or share what your clocks are. . Also i have noit unlocked shaders or flashed a new bios just the stock card. thx again guys

I would say yes but 1.225v is already pretty high. In theory it should be safe but I have seen many a CPU killed by overvoltaging even at safe temps. That being said core degradation in GPUs is quite rare. I would try using Furmark to get a better idea of system and thermal stability. As no game is going to put full load on the GPU continuously.
