Kindle Fire. When I got mine I wasn't to impressed with the silk browser so I installed opera. Well after yesterdays update I can say that silk and the Fire in general are working as promised.

A $200 Playbook sounds pretty good and it looks like Bestbuy has a lot of them this time around. I'm playing around this afternoon with the one I bought last night and I know by now it was a good purchase for me. I guess the 2 possible knocks are a lack of Apps (which I barely* use, especially when the thing has net access) and the 7" screen (the screen is gorgeous though and I prefer the smaller size as I'm using it as a more portable laptop replacement in the first place.)

* SlackerRadio App on this is nice, I'm sure I'll be using it a lot in the coffee shops.

My 2 cents. Merry Christmas.

Kindle fire or nook color. color has a bunch of roms out right now that are plenty stable and ready to go. the fire still has a ways to go, so you may have to wait. also, there are contstantly deals for the color where you can get them for about 140$

Now this is IF any modding gets done which i highly recommend. you should do it for him, it does not take very long. And do not yell at me for this, because its only a suggestion.
