I have been playing playing netflix on my 64bit os but I do experience quite a few silverlight crashes. Hopefully this will solve that.

SilverLight 4 x86 doesn't work on XP Pro SP2 x64, Install throws error stating incompatible architecture.

And no, I always ran XP Pro SP3 x86 but now that SilverLights been compiled for x64, I will swap over to XP Pro SP2 x64 (tho I do change my OS almost monthly which keeps my machine blazing fast and clean).

I am glad to see that somebody is actually enjoying Silverlight 5 x64!
I cannot make it to work.
I have tried almost everything, install, uninstall again and again, tried the 32Bits, the 64 Bits even went back to the 4 ... with all the related difficulties, but no matter what I do: IT DOES NO WORK and not only with IE9 x32 and IE9 x 64, Firefox, Chrome, Opera in some website with Media contect inb Silvelight ( they used to work perfectly few weeks ago ) but it cannot play the demos in the Silverlight Home Page !
I run out of options.
Some sites are showing the info that says "Download Silverlight" which is already installed and if I follow their request I get the message that the version installed is newer than the one trying to install.
I am really going nuts!
My OS is Win7 x64 on a Quad w/12Gb Ram in a cable connection at 10 MBs
I appreciate any help that I can get.

Thank You
Maurizio

If I may ask, why not Windows 7? Or Possibly something like Mint 12 if you're worried about resources.

yeah, uh 32bit software works just fine on Vista and 7 x64, maybe this is relevant for XP, but certainly not for anything newer

Very nice! Hopefully we see a drop in CPU usage on Netflix when I'm on my mac.

First update XP 64, update IE to ver 8, and then you can install Silverlight.

I also ran Norton 2006 and now I can watch Netflix in IE or FF.

But it doesn't work in Chrome.
