patriot 2x512 pc4000

Thread Starter
i just ordered a set of these off ebay and wondering how much more my setup will be able to OC with this. i thikn the timings are 3-4-4-8? im not too sure though. i got them really cheap, $94 CAD and sold my old ram(still in sig) for $100 CAD so i basically got an upgrade for free lol. so will pc4000 be easier to put a divider on?

My Patriot pc5300 went really high(667-996) and i hit 800 with stock vcore and timings(and barely even warm to the touch), so you might be able to hit 700+ or so. mabye a little higher

Yeah, he has DDR2, which is different altogether. I think your timings are either 2-2-2-5 or 2-3-2-5. 3-4-4-8 would be their 2x1GB DDR500 kit. I'm not sure about the divider, but it will eliminate the wall of your ram not being able to hit 250Mhz if that's what you mean...

Actually, you can even set your divider to DDR500 and use your extra bandwidth. But I've never tried it, so I don't really know.
