I wish I could. Most of the places I've been to have a very limited selection of HPs available to try out, and they mostly consist of; Beats, Skullcandy, Kilpsh and a few from Sennheiser and AKG.

Which pair do you have? And is it the bass reproduction that you're disappointed with?

I heard that was generally the case with open HPs, but what they lack in bass they make up for in other areas.

Reproduction... I wasn't sure if that was the word but yeah, that's what I ment.
I've got Sennheiser HD 595's, great headphones but I'm just a little dissapointed that I didn't go for the HD 600's now that I've got a better headphone amp. But then again I really can't find anything else to complain about, these fit like a glove and are just absolutely amazing. I just enjoy a good bass reproduction, I always crank up some extra bass when I listen at music or game biggrin.gif(I want to clarify that even though I love bass, I do not listen at dubstep. In my opinion everyone who makes and listens at dubstep or even talks about "music" and "dubstep" in the same sentence should be locked deep in a Russian Gulag and be forgotten there. Except me, that sentence was just a demonstration. Off to say 7 Hail Maries)

Unless you have a large head don't go for the AD900... I went and got the lower model of them and they are really loose.
I went for the Sennheisers HD598 So happy with my choice.

Ok, ordering the HD 598s now smile.gif

I'll probably hold off on getting a DAC/amp until I get to try them out.

@Blizlake I agree 100%, a song like 'Invisible Sun' really deserves HPs with good bass (much more than dubstep). I just hate it when the bass over powers the rest of the song.

Don't know about the HD598's, but I do own the HUD MX1. Managed to try it out with a pair of Alessandro MS1's and Audio Technica M50's (a pity I don't actually own these two amazing headphones), and it has so far proved to be an amazing DAC/Amp for the price. You should really consider auditioning it if you have the opportunity to!

I have a pair of the Ad900's. They have a lot of bass quality, but very little slam. The 598's also have very little slam as they're an open design as well.
