Yes but the newer chipsets will probably pack in more features. There's no point to getting a Sandy Bridge age chipset with Ivy Bridge processor if they are releasing at the same time.

I see. I have another idea on mind, If IB is not in my budget, I ll go for SB i7instead [since price of i7 is reduced].

Sorry I was being stupid in here "I think I can also use the new IB mobo for SB right??? :hmmm: whistle.gif" Ignore this well thx for replying

Hi guys,

I have few queries for my new build.

My new build ll be with Ivy bridge, so I learned that current SB mobo run IB.

I also learned that they ll be no difference in current and upcoming mobo except it ll have native USB 3.0 support.

http://news.softpedia.com/news/Intel-Ivy-Bridge-Motherboards-Entered-Mass-Production-251407.shtml

Can u explain me what is "Native USB 3.0support" and What is the difference between the USB 3.0 ports currently present in all SB boards and "Native USB 3.0support"

I believe native means it is actually built in to the Intel chipset. And currently they require a 3rd party add on controller. In the end for me its not all that different. Native will normally net better performance. But not always.

3770K + GTX680 + H100 (or whichever is the best closed-loop cooler at the time) = my body is ready!
