Pretty much my plan too. Might stick with air though.

It will work, you obviously need th use the usb 3.0 port. I think there are only two. I'm just saying when usb 3.0 is in the chipset it will probably perform a little better. If thats the only thing holding you back I would say don't worry about it. Just get the P67. But honestly though I don't use usb 3.0 so I can't say how well it performs on a P67. I'm sure its good enough though.

I don't think native USB 3.0 support will draw gamers, it's the only difference from z68

theres other stuff thumb.gif
but if your trying to compare a $300 z68 board to a mid range z77 then its not worth it.

Yeah u r right I'm not going to use USB 3.0 much [may be not rolleyes.gif], so I think Sabertooth P67 is a good to go biggrin.gif

I read that the only difference in the new chipset is going to be native USB 3.0 support, So I hope no other new features gonna come in near future thumb.gif

Man, I cannot wait for thus + 7990. Finally get to upgrade my rig. smile.gif It's awesome for a single monitor or eyefinity games on medium high settings, but I want to Max everything. Plus, I can't wait for Intel Smart Response with SSDs. Should be sweet!

I guess I'm lost on the number of i5 2500k owners on here expecting to "upgrade." Am I missing something? Do you all have a magic way to sell your 2500k for enough to make the small jump in performance worth it?
