Why not just get FAHmon?
mwell looks like that will be just as cheap i guess but just trying to save some space and it would be nice to only run one keyboard mouse ect.., but it loks like for the usb ones its about as much as a 19" lcd cheaper one or a decent 17"

Yes as mentioned Fahmon http://fahmon.silent-blade.org/ is handy or you could use Dameware to control the monitor-less computer.

KVM switches are the way to go. I've got two (2) four porters and I like the manual one best. AMD x2 4200+, Pentium D 805 both with XP and a P4 2.60 GHz, 800 fsb, running Ubuntu ( Dapper Drake) I can't afford anymore 20 " monitors, plus I don't have the desk space. You can get them with USB and sound connections, try Newegg.

I've been looking into a DVI/USB unit but the prices are very high
