IDE to SATA converter

Thread Starter
So.... I'm looking to get some better wire management in my case. On that note, I'm trying to use SATA drives instead of my IDE drives. I have 2 questions for you all.

1) Do the IDE to SATA converters work well?
2) Do they only work for Hard Drives?

I'm thinking about gettin SATA HDD's, but i also want SATA Opticals. Can i just get a converter and put it on that?

Thanks for the help

A much easier solution would be to get round IDE cables.

Check out Xoxide for a huge selection

Yes, they work, however only for hard drives (last I knew). Here's a good looking one:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812206002

Also now you're going to have floppy cables instead of IDE cables
